Chard bohios are a delicious culinary specialty of Jewish origin, very popular in Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean. These stuffed pastries filled with chard, wrapped in dough and baked, combine traditional flavors with a crispy, golden texture. A true delight to enjoy on any occasion.
In preparing the Chard Bohios, sift together the self-raising flour, salt, and enough water in a bowl.
After kneading and letting the dough balls rest, cut the chard into thin strips and mix with grated cheese and flour.
When rolling out the dough, fill with the chard mixture, roll up, and bake for 25 minutes.
Once cooked, brush with oil and sprinkle with more grated cheese.
