Salmon Salad
Ingredients
1 cup of Kosher salt
½ kilogram of Raw salmon fillet
½ cup of Sugar
½ teaspoon of White pepper
¼ Fresh cilantro bunch
¼ cup of Chopped fresh cilantro
2 Tomatoes, seedless and diced
4 Chives sliced thinly
1 Seedless pepper chopped into cubes
1 tablespoon of Vegetable oil
2 teaspoons of Toasted sesame seeds in a little oil
10 milliliters of Lime juice
100 grams of Chopped macadamia nuts
Preparation
Step 1 : In a bowl, mix the salt, sugar, and pepper.
Step 2 : Then, cut long plastic strips to wrap on the work surface.
Step 3 : Place half of the cilantro sprigs in the center of the plastic wrap.
Step 4 : Season both sides of the salmon fillets with the salt, pepper, and sugar mixture.
Step 5 : Place each fillet over the cilantro and add a little more salt on top of the fillet.
Step 6 : Put another cilantro sprig on top and wrap firmly with the plastic wrap.
Step 7 : Then refrigerate for 24 hours.
Step 8 : The next day, unwrap the salmon, remove any salt residue, and dry the surface.
Step 9 : Cut into cubes about the size of a finger or according to individual preference.
Step 10 : In a bowl, mix the salmon, cilantro or dill, tomatoes, sliced chives, chopped jalapeño, toasted sesame, and lime juice.
Step 11 : You can garnish the salad with pieces of macadamia nuts if desired.
