Ingredients

6 Strawberries

3 cups of Cow's milk

1 Whole cinnamon stick

4 tablespoons of White sugar

½ cup of Water

2 tablespoons of Cornstarch (corn flour)

1 pinch of Baking soda

Preparation

Step 1 : The strawberries are soaked in water with a disinfectant for 5 minutes, then drained and stemmed.

Step 2 : They are cut into quarters and placed in a pot with the cinnamon and enough water, boiling for 5 minutes and then cooling.

Step 3 : Subsequently, the cinnamon is removed and the strawberries are blended with a little of the cooking water until a thick purée is obtained.

Step 4 : The cornstarch is dissolved in half a cup of cold water.

Step 5 : Meanwhile, the milk is heated with a pinch of baking soda in another pot until boiling.

Step 6 : Then, the strawberries are added and mixed, along with the dissolved cornstarch in water.

Step 7 : The heat is reduced and sugar is added, stirring with a wooden spoon to prevent lumps.

Step 8 : Cook for an additional three minutes, until the mixture thickens to the desired consistency.

Step 9 : This delicious mixture can be served as a breakfast or a snack.
