Ingredients

2 cups of Cream

½ cup of Milk

¼ cup of Turkish coffee

5 Cardamom pods

6 Large egg yolks

¾ cup of Sugar

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare this delicious coffee and cardamom ice cream, start by combining the cream, milk, coffee, and cardamom in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a boil.

Step 2 : Then, remove from the heat and let the mixture rest for 10 minutes.

Step 3 : Next, combine the yolks and sugar in a large saucepan and cook using a double boiler, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens, about 2 minutes.

Step 4 : Then, add the cream mixture and stir constantly with a spatula to prevent lumps, until the mixture reaches 180°F (82°C).

Step 5 : Strain out the coffee grounds and place in a container.

Step 6 : Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Step 7 : The next day, churn the mixture in an ice cream maker following the manufacturer's instructions.
