Chicken Schnitzel is a delicious dish originating from Israel. Prepared with breaded and fried fillets, it highlights its flavor with special seasonings. The key is to keep the chicken juicy inside and crispy outside. Perfect to enjoy on any occasion.
Washed and dried chicken is cut into even slices, marinated with salt, pepper, and garlic powder for 30 minutes.
Prepare a mixture of bread crumbs, flour, and beaten eggs to bread the breasts.
Then fry until golden and serve with lemon, mashed potatoes, and vegetables.
Chicken Schnitzel
Ingredients
1 kilogram of Skinless chicken fillets
1 cup of Fresh toasted and grated bread
1 cup of Flour
1 tablespoon of Garlic powder
1 pinch of Salt
2 Large beaten eggs
Vegetable oil
1 Lemon, cut into 4 pieces to accompany
1 pinch of Pepper
Preparation
Step 1 : Wash the chicken and pat dry with paper towels.
Step 2 : Cut the breasts into slices, aiming to keep a uniform size to ensure even cooking.
Step 3 : To achieve this, the breasts can be flattened by placing them in resealable plastic bags, removing the air, and gently pounding them.
Step 4 : Then, marinate with salt, pepper, and garlic powder for approximately 30 minutes.
Step 5 : Toast the bread slices and crush them in a food processor.
Step 6 : Place the bread crumbs in a shallow dish, while flour is placed in another container.
Step 7 : In a third dish, beat the eggs with salt, pepper, and paprika or sweet pepper.
Step 8 : Dip each chicken fillet in the breading process: first pass through the flour, then the beaten eggs making sure it is well coated but shaking off excess, and finally coat with the bread crumbs completely.
Step 9 : Repeat this process with each fillet.
Step 10 : Heat the oil over medium-high heat and fry each schnitzel until golden on both sides.
Step 11 : Place on a plate lined with absorbent paper to remove excess oil and repeat the process with the remaining breasts.
Step 12 : When serving, accompany the schnitzels with lemon slices and serve with mashed potatoes and vegetables of your choice.
