Chocolate Chip Bread

Ingredients

3 cups of Flour

1 ½ teaspoon of 1 ½ teaspoons aluminum-free baking powder

¼ teaspoon of Salt

3 Beaten eggs

1 cup of Sugar

1 cup of Butter

2 teaspoons of Vanilla extract

1 teaspoon of Almond extract

½ cup of Semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1 : In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Step 2 : In another bowl, combine the beaten eggs and sugar until smooth.

Step 3 : Add the butter or oil, vanilla extract, and almond extract or orange juice.

Step 4 : Then, incorporate the dry ingredients until forming a dough, adding the chocolate pieces.

Step 5 : Form the dough into a large ball and chill it in a glass bowl covered with plastic wrap in the refrigerator for two hours.

Step 6 : Grease a baking tray or cover it with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Step 7 : After removing the dough from the refrigerator and waiting five minutes to make it more flexible, dust your hands with flour to remove the dough from the bowl.

Step 8 : Knead and divide into two parts, forming two rolls approximately 3 inches wide.

Step 9 : Place the rolls side by side on the prepared baking tray, stretching them lengthwise across the sheet.

Step 10 : Bake for 20 minutes at 350°F (175°C), until they start to brown, then reduce the heat to 250°F (120°C) and bake for an additional 15 minutes.

Step 11 : When removing the rolls from the oven, place them on a wire rack to cool for about 10 minutes until safely handled.

Step 12 : Then, cut diagonally into ½ inch slices and place them back in a horizontal position on the baking tray.

Step 13 : Bake until lightly golden, about 30 minutes at 250°F (120°C).

Step 14 : Once ready, let them cool completely on a wire rack before serving.

Step 15 : The cookies become crispier as they cool.
