Halva

Halva is a delicious sweet made with semolina, almonds, and syrup. Its preparation is simple and quick, making it an accessible and nutritious option for the whole family. In a large saucepan over medium heat, add oil until almost smoking.

Gradually add the semolina, stirring continuously until it turns a light brown color.

Add the almonds, frying the mixture until reaching the desired level of toast.

Meanwhile, prepare the syrup by dissolving 2 cups of sugar in water and boiling the mixture for 4 minutes.

Once ready, remove the semolina from the heat and add the syrup, mixing well.

Return the saucepan to low heat, stirring the mixture until smooth.

When most of the moisture has been absorbed, add the remaining sugar.

After removing from the heat, cover with a clean cloth for approximately 10 minutes.

Then pour into a mold and let cool before unmolding onto a plate and sprinkling with cinnamon to taste.

100 grams of Peeled almonds

2 tablespoons of Ground cinnamon

Step 3 : Reduce the heat and incorporate the almonds, frying the mixture until reaching the desired level of toast, avoiding burning.

Step 4 : Meanwhile, prepare the syrup by dissolving 2 cups of sugar in water and boiling the mixture for 4 minutes.

Step 5 : Once done, remove the semolina from the heat and add the syrup, mixing well.

Step 6 : Return the saucepan to low heat, stirring the mixture until smooth.
