4 Eggs

1 cup of Dark brown sugar

½ cup of Strong coffee

Oil

1 cup of Honey

4 cups of Flour

¼ teaspoon of Salt

1 ½ teaspoon of Baking powder

1 teaspoon of Baking soda

1 teaspoon of Ground cinnamon

½ teaspoon of Clove

¼ teaspoon of Nutmeg

¾ cup of Blanched almonds

¾ cup of Mixed candied fruit

3 tablespoons of Brandy, rum, or cognac

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare this delicious cake, first beat the eggs and sugar until you get a creamy, light-colored mixture.

Step 2 : Then, mix the cold coffee, oil, and honey, and add it to the egg mixture, blending all ingredients well.

Step 3 : In another bowl, combine the flour, salt, spices, baking powder, and baking soda, and sift them together to prevent lumps.

Step 4 : Next, add the candied fruit and nuts to this dry mixture.

Step 5 : Gradually, add the flour, fruit, and nut mixture to the egg and sugar mixture, mixing everything homogeneously.

Step 6 : Add the liquor once the batter looks uniform.

Step 7 : Then, grease and flour a large mold or two small ones, and pour the mixture into it.

Step 8 : Bake in a preheated oven at a regular temperature for 40-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
